Thanks for being here.

My name is Jasmine, and I am so happy and grateful to be sharing the beautiful practice of yoga with you!

Everyone’s path to yoga looks different. Mine began as a teenager, when I discovered Yoga with Adriene on YouTube - which I still tune in to regularly! Back then, my focus was mostly on flexibility and handstands (haha) but as I grew and matured, so did my practice. Feelings of calm contentment began to accompany spending time on my mat. I started to care about the breathing, and I quit skipping the savasanas. And one day, I experienced a huge emotional release during my practice that left me feeling more mentally clear and blissful than I had in a long time.

Deeply intrigued and wanting to learn more, I began my formal study of yoga with Blossom Yoga School, receiving my 200-hour teaching certification. Since then, I’ve completed training courses and workshops for children’s yoga, Yin Yoga, and meditation and mindfulness. I love learning the history, mythology, and new science of yoga and mindfulness, and am constantly seeking new knowledge and experiences.

The beautiful thing about this ancient practice is that when you do it enough, it begins to seep into your life off of the mat and outside of the studio as well. What starts as a sense of peace and acceptance on your mat, turns into peace and acceptance as you move through the rest of your day. It’s been said that practicing yoga won’t solve all of your problems, but it will give you the tools to handle them with more grace and compassion. More than anything else, I want to give people the opportunity to find a practice that they can fall in love with, so that it can support them and help them grow through each season of life. And the thought of giving this practice and these tools to children, so that they can use them for their whole lives, fills my heart with so much joy and excitement!

So again, thank you for being here. I look forward to getting to know and practice with each of you. I look forward to helping build a safe community space that is full of joy, love, acceptance, and compassion. And I hope to see you soon.

With kindness, gratitude, and love,

Jasmine
